Xbox Series X Crashing to dashboard
Durint multiple gameplay moments. From being in the pale heart to strikes, I've noticed a massive increase in crashes. Some freeze the game. Others just crash to the xbox dashboard. I know it's not my console at this point as it's only on destiny this happens.
If this could be looked into by bungie devs, as it is really difficult to play any new/old content if it always crashes.

Same has been happening to me as well. Mostly since the Into the Light update. Except recently with final shape it’s gotten worse. Cleaned my Xbox, factory reset, uninstalled and reinstalled destiny 2. Still happens. Fastest I’ve had it crash was bout 7 minutes after login, longest without was maybe 2 hours. On average it hard crashes to console desktop after maybe 45 minutes to over an hour. Trying to tell people about this is difficult since they don’t think it’s the games problem and that it’s a You problem. It’s the only game that does this for us and let’s face it most days the game is held together with prayers and scotch tape. At least during the season I couldn’t play cause of an error code I knew I couldn’t play. This lets me get on long enough to have hope before it boot me in the genitals. #consolesupport

The Devs are aware of this issue in addition to the heating issues I do believe. They addressed it at the end of their latest update article

1 ReplyGlad im not the only one. Only Destiny 2 actually does this. All my other games play just fine on my Series X but since slightly before Final Shape thr game literally will randomly freeze, drop frames, or cause a total crash to dashboard. Its not overheating or anything and its well cleaned but FS makes it crash almost daily.
