From my testing, the perk works (gives "Golden Tricorn x2" and extends duration) on Prismatic as long as the super matches. Here I am using a void SMG with golden tricorn. I get a gun kill to trigger golden tricorn x1 and then throw my melee to extend it but the kill does not grant the extension. This seems to only be an issue with non-matching super prismatic builds as I swapped to the void axe super and it worked and i swapped to regular void and it worked (I did not record a video of those two because the expected behaviour had occurred.)
