Xur has become so out dated and useless since the Days of D1. He has lost all real wow factor. Unless maybe you are a new light And don't have every exotic. My solution is To give xur his own separate unique all new non reskined set of 9 themed weapons. And then continue to update that set 1 or 2 new weapons here and there. Maybe every big 3 episodes full update him with all new stock.. Also give him some super unique shaders and emblems we Can buy from him. And keep that updated every new season or episode. Give him Lore we can hunt down. Or golden age parts for him to build up super unique things. Or in order to exchange for them. Give him back Sparrow special exhaust effects. Give Him Boosters we can buy. That makes both sparrows and skimmers go Faster. Gravity life mods. That makes them jump higher. Or hover when falling off a cliff. Like you hit them just before you hit the ground like Rocket boosters. Give him 1 or 2 unique exotic armor peaces you can only buy from him every few episodes. Real gifts from the 9. Maybe even give him quest we can do to earn super unique gear. Exotic mods, mods for sparrows , idk Above all else I would Say give people the ability to roll and reroll exotic armor sets with him. Most of the time his armor stats are stupid low. Give us more control, over that. Or maybe we can complete bounties or have that be added to the season pass. After you fully rank up the season pass you open up a new tier and one of the things you build up is xurs exotic armor stats. Maybe we can earn lore from him. Get quest ,or complete a activity to get a actual cut scene. And learn more about each one of the 9. Xur used to be a huge deal in d2 and I just feel like he is very much under used as a vender like to many others in d2 Like the GunSmith as well. Bungie has a long history in d2 of just making bad choices when it comes to venders. Giving them little to no inventory. Then never refreshing their weapons or armor with big dlcs or seasons. Removing the brilliant set up D1 had where venders not all but some. Had shaders ,emblems, ships and sparrows . All to put behind a eververse pay wall. Witch I kinda get . But they should have split that more . Alot more to show they still appreciate fans and the time they put in. Look at the exo stranger lingering on Europa. If your not a new light and Don't need to update stasis she's useless. Through seasons and dlcs. Until they need her for a stoey beat. When all they had to Do was give her some emblems , some shaders, and. Few unique weapons you can only get from her. Then upgrade her every big dlc or with new stuff. Look at ikora supposed to be a big deal in the game and ..... Well I'll say they have reworked her to make her some what useful. But there is still a lot you could do to make her useful to the end game day to day players. The vanguard each had there own gear you could buy in D1. Giver ger back her own inventory of unique things like the speaker had. On top of what she has now. Expand what a vender is and has in destiny. They could all use more variety and functionality. Hawthorne, could be more then a glorified bounty board. .give her a whole suite of clan weapons. With unique clan perks. Give her some glows and armor sets every few seasons we can earn. Or some unique clan mods. Give her lore we can hunt down in patrol zone that tell side story's of the military mortal humans out there who fight. That's a whole aspect we could see. Introduce new members of her clan. Let us earn clan gear, with our clan insignias and clan weapons with or insignia. Give her clan emblems we can earn from okaying togearher. Give her the ability to link us to other clans. Ingame so we can make bigger clans. Brither and sister clans. Bring back arms Day with the GunSmith. Give him things we can earn from leveling up just visuK rewards to make guns our own. Like a lucky rabbits foot, or key chain . Or scopes. Give him new mods we can earn every season . Or new traits we can unlock by using different weapons or classes of weapons.
