D3 is scheduled to be released on the same day as Half Life 3.

This may be unpopular, but I think it would be better if it wasn't F2P. As it stands Destiny isn't F2P either, it has a demo, but not a free to play system. Dares was a once off addition that actually isn't linked to the game at all, it just exists. Heck, if it isn't F2P then we might get cosmetic rewards via playing the game, I know, it's a crazy idea.

Yeah if destiny 3 became a free battle royal PVP type a game it would only have PVP players, which only consist of maybe 10% of the community. bungie is not going to do that they are a company they are in the business of making money you cannot make money off 10% of players!! Honestly battle Royale type of games they're not really popular in the first place.. Only kids enjoy those kind of games.. Plus you know how much PVP hacks happen in games like that it would be a glorified -blam!- nightmare

Sorry but no, for a game like Destiny I doubt that model would genuine work with out an exponential increase in seasonal pass and eververse costs, plus a rework to the customization parts of the game that nearly completely monetizes shaders and the ornament system.
-
And give them a valid excuse to double down on crap in Eververse? No thanks.
-
Dear god please no.
-
If you add all of Destiny into Fortnite, then you wouldn't need Destiny, all the studio would work on is cutscenes and season filler. Copy paste, and voila, people can get that Battle Royale, spend millions on a massive eververse overhaul, have a PVP balanced around Fortnite and have the Fortnite servers for MM. Patrols would literally be Fortnite without guns, and solos could wander aimlessly doing nothing like usual. Make it so season passes can be worked on even after the new season arrives. Heck, with Fortnite, you could do so many more collabs if all D2 was Fortnited, everybody could get that crossover thing they want. Add D3 as a Fortnite thing, they can do so much while using much less resources to get there. Make it a free game and put the cool armors and shaders and ornaments into eververse. Fortnite could probably do a better more creative job than Bungie.

Edited by Killapete232: 5/12/2024 9:27:05 PMEverywhere. Build A Rocket Boy is already on that front, I'd suggest looking it up. This game will be the closest thing to a Fortnite killer. Keep in mind Disney and Epic games just signed a deal to make a virtual Disney metaverse through Fortnite in the future, so Fortnite will be around for many years.

In forum jail again. Be back soon. 💕🥛 - old
I sincerely hope Bungie never listens to a single idea you have sweetie. -
Free to play is an awful model. I’d much rather a subscription model or all updates to be paid

Edited by Demoniser: 5/12/2024 6:59:53 PMThis is the last thing it needs. Put PvP behind a pay wall where they can keep the players honest. There will be far less cheating if your account is linked to your credit card. Makes for easier life time bans.

Bungie’s “free to play”
-
I agree, give it a battle royale mode too.
-
Having a game be fwee from the beginning is a different approach. I don't know enough about the world of money tornados to know if that would get destiny back to forsaken and prior levels of quality and excellahhhnce.
-
Ah hail no! The last 2 f2p mmo were laggy and buggy plus high pricey cosmetics (black desert) and occasional region locked (skyforge).
-
Live service should be removed in its entirety. If D2 didn’t convince you of that, I don’t know what will.
-
Judging from d1 and d2? I'm not touching it
-
So they can justify putting as many predatory microstransactions as possible from the get go?
-
Make it the next Fortnite
😳
🤣🤣🤣🤣
-
No, make it the next Baldurs Gate 3
-
So stay in fortnite chief.
-
Bungie should make D3 a payed game. Reduces all the Free to Play players, which sounds bad, except for the fact that you no longer have to appeal to them. You also reduce the cheater population. Lastly, you force Bungie to Focus on the base game, and make it appealing for players to play, and thus buy.

Dam you really do want destiny to die

Man, gamers have gotten lazy. - old
Go play Fortnite then -

That seems highly unlikely, besides which it has quite a bit of free-to-play content as it is.
