I began Destiny 2 about 2 years ago when a friend of mine told me about a sale going on in the Epic Games Store. So I bought Forsaken, Beyond Light, Shadowkeep, and the 30 anniversary. I ended up setting the game down and forgetting my time in it only to have another friend get me back into it though this time I access the game through Steam. I bought Witch Queen and Lightfall. I no longer have access to the content I purchased and played earlier. The content from the Epic Games Store is not tied to my account somehow despite my character having weapons and armor exclusive to that content. I cannot find a way to merge my purchases and its ridiculous this isn't done by default. I really want to get into Final Shape and transition D2 into my main game spending money on season passes and whatnot. But if I am refused content I have already legitimately bought and played from a major retailer then I'll never touch a Bungie game again. It'd be crooked business to deny my access to what I own. It's not a membership it was a one time payment I own access to that content.

Hi there! When you purchase a DLC, you are purchasing a license to access that DLC on that platform. This is how DLC has worked for years and is not an issue exclusive to Destiny 2 or Bungie. If you wish to access that DLC on other platforms, you will need to purchase it. Please note that season passes or dungeon keys are in-game purchases that are redeemed immediately on the account that they are purchased on and do transfer between platforms if Cross Save is active. For more information, please review the Cross Save Guide, linked below. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049498031-Destiny-2-Cross-Save-Guide

Can you play all the games you have on epic without buying them on steam again?

The dlcs are tied to the platform you purchased them on. They don't merge nor do they become apart of cross save.

You don’t. Purchases do not transfer between platforms, you must purchase them for each platform you intend to play on. This was explained during the cross-save setup. This applies to all video games and other media, not just Destiny 2. This has always been the case since pretty much forever.
