The first week of trials after the special ammo changes weren't good by any means. Rampant team shooting with auto rifles and HC's, threadling spam, and not knowing whether your teammates or enemies had special at most points in the match. Personally not a fan. But week after week it just gets worse. As of this week in trials conditional finality holds 10% of all kills in trials. One weapon, has 10% of all kills out of every way to kill someone in PvP. Conditional finality dwarfs every other special weapon in the game by a mile, massive range, 95 handling, two bonus effects that can instantly kill a well or bubble, and everyone is spamming it for easy kills. But how does this matter for the special ammo changes? Simple, If you limit the ammo players have they're going to try to maximize its potential, Translation: Use the best weapons and never use anything else. And while you should nerf CF (its extremely overtuned) the problem wont go away with its power, players will just move to whatever next thing is over tuned, Matador, Forerunner, whatever is best will be the next 10% of all kills special weapon, players are of course going to this anyways (use what is best) but if everyone has special ammo players who don't use it are not punished as hard. Not to mention the other MASSIVE issue of matches snowballing in favor of the team who's winning by always getting more special ammo. To summarize, as long as this bad system stays in place you ruin loot incentive, ruin the variety of weapon choices, and push snowballing in matches that lead to 5-0 stomps every other match. This was a flat out bad change. If you wanted to lower special weapon usage then why not just give nerfs to every kind of special weapon? Nerf spread on fusions, add much longer draw times or more spread on shotguns, you've already given multiple sniper nerfs, Why nerf the whole system when no one asked for it? This is completely my opinion but last weeks trials was way better than every week since the special ammo changes despite the crates not really changing much.
There was so much more and frankly so much less that could have been done to improve the crucible but this has been a massive and frustrating disappointment.

I actually like no special or limited special instead of getting it as often as you do now. If not, then having special every round was better than having it half the time for me. So I would prefer either all or nothing or very limited
