Bungie will not do anything when it comes to deleted items and/or characters. There was a bug recently where it offered you the chance to create a new character as soon as you logged in even if you already had 3 characters. Did you by chance press the create a new character option?

Even if they did, nothing would have happened. There is no game bug which will cause characters to be deleted. Characters can only be deleted by the player.

There has never been a game bug causing characters to be permanently deleted. That video is fake and misleading.

That was fully investigated, and it was determined the player lied to Bungie about their character's being deleted by a bug. There was no bug, the player deleted the character's themselves. Once again, there has never been a bug which will cause characters to be deleted. Don't believe everything you see posted by so-called 'content creators'. A lot of the time, their information is fabricated just to get clicks. Stick to http://bungie.net, http://help.bungie.net and http://x.com/Bungiehelp for official news. Both of the videos you have shared are fake news.
In before a certain someone.
• So, totally unrelated but i'll ask anyway. Question number 1: Is there a plausible reason why on the Braytech site it showed an inactivity of 54 years and 3 months? Question number 2: Isn't there a way to check the logins and the activity, in this case the act of deleting the characters, to check WHEN my characters got deleted? like a server in which y'all keep logs and stuff?

  •
Question number 1: Is there a plausible reason why on the Braytech site it showed an inactivity of 54 years and 3 months?
This is common after characters are deleted and there is no active play time, it wigs out the api
Question number 2: Isn't there a way to check the logins and the activity, in this case the act of deleting the characters, to check WHEN my characters got deleted? like a server in which y'all keep logs and stuff?
To what end? Bungie is not going to replace the characters or progress, so there is no need tieing up devs to dig through server logs that info. Someone with access to at least one of your linked accounts, logged in, clicked delete, entered the correct sequence shown on the screen, then clicked the conformation button on at least 2 characters (always have to have at least 1 character), created replacements then deleted the 3rd and created the replacement for that one. Knowing when they did it is not really relevant to anything

It would be relevant on a personal way, simply to check logs in that date and check mails and stuff to see who and how people got into my account, but i can see the point of it being somewhat useless for the devs.

Knowing when they were deleted isn't going to change a thing. It's very likely you already know exactly when it happened and why it happened. I can tell exactly what happened by just looking at your profile and the timing of this post.
but i can see the point of it being somewhat useless for the devs.
Correct, it is. There is no benefit for Bungie to do this and really, there is no benefit for you either. Knowing when they were deleted isn't going to change anything.

  • Ill'just say a couple of things, ive been reading this post, and you should change hobby since it seems that you can't understand what so ever the points that are being made. also rather presumptuous to say that a certain type of bug cant exist, especially for a non dev as you yourself stated. Interpret this message as you will.
