No thanks, I’d rather Well and Bubble be dealt with instead and then I’d enjoy the mode fine

Bell and bubble are not the best supers for countdown… You are thinking of dominion in trials.
-
They’re still meta in countdown, they’re just not as good as they are in Dominion
-
Sure they are still good, but they aren’t needed, unlike in trials, where having more wells/bubbles will win you games. A good bladebarrage or nova is arguably more impactful than a well or bubble in countdown.

Edited by Acolyte: 3/28/2024 3:05:09 PMWell it depends on what the enemy is using and if it’s attack or defence. I’d argue in general Well and Bubble rule supreme but they can be counted by certain other supers such as Blade Barrage. I’d rather a super like Blade Barrage on attack too.
-
They need to give options to both Titans and Warlocks.
-
The problem is Well and Bubble are TOO good, most of their other options compete fine with Hunter’s subclasses
-
Agreed but I’m doing it team a disservice not running it and it’s the most functional kit for an average player. Maybe the new supers in the FS will help with that.
-
I don’t want supers even more OP than Well and Bubble, I want them balanced or ideally replaced entirely honestly

Edited by The Hermit IX: 3/28/2024 4:45:51 PMThe regen is part of it. The modes promote it too.
-
It isn’t the modes at fault, it’s the supers
-
Edited by The Hermit IX: 3/28/2024 4:53:32 PMNah Trials absolutely promotes it man. Watch this and you’ll understand what I’m saying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrvnopgnN48

Edited by Acolyte: 3/28/2024 4:58:01 PMI suspect we have different definitions of promote. What I mean is the game modes are meant to encourage objective play and discourage camping at the back, this is the impression I’ve got from Bungie anyway. Well and Bubble don’t seem to align with their vision but I’m guessing they’re hesitant remove them or heavily nerf them for obvious reasons. I'd watched that video already, it's good I agree with a lot of it.

Yeah I think it’s a fair assessment of things. I’m a Voidlock and prefer to run my Void kit. I run Solar because of the artifact, mobility, super having a better regen rate and being more helpful with wins due to the objective. They’ve kinda pigeon holed Warlocks into Solar and Titans into Void. If we have more sensible options like Hunters have you’d see less of both subclasses.
-
I just want daybreak to not be objectively worse than well :(
-
Well is clear in Trials and Countdown but survival I’d pick Daybreak, good players just wouldn’t fight Well and they don’t need to in the non objective modes. Even in control if it’s just the one, it can be avoided.
-
Daybreak counters well and is honestly one of the best roaming supers in pvp
-
Too bad it’s not worth using in 3v3, the game type that well is mainly used in.
-
Yeah they need to lower the super charge time, well dominates PvP and PvE because of its high uptime and its crazy benefits.
-
It’s one of the best roaming supers but I’m sorry it absolutely does not counter well, you will get cooked if you try to fight even one decent player in a well with daybreak
