That's a hardware issue and sounds like you have a faulty hard drive. I recommend contacting Xbox for support.

This post has nothing to do with the current issues regarding characters not showing up. OPs problem is that the game is deleting itself, which is a sign of a hardware error. My previous comment is correct. -
