How should I report this?
So I was playing pvp a few days ago and, I started thinking about it at work and, I guess I the guy I was playing was salty about something and, then he messages me and, tells me I play like a child predator. I was kinda flabbergasted. I have had hate mail but, I never dealt with that. Then he mentioned I live in Florida and, said something. About my pfp, so he was viewing my steam profile.
Now I am interested in cyber security. I'm working on to start classes, built my first PC to get started. Some of the things that inspired me was a lot of cyber security videos from jack rhysdider and, getting an IP on PC is much easier to get, so I was thinking. What if this guy is trying to get me swatted.
Also on another note. I have seen a situation like this before. A guy joined us after his pvp games and, we where about to do a raid for my friends stream, someone that he played told our clan leader that the guy that joined us is a child predator.
I was thinking, what if this guy was trying to message my bf whom I was playing, with at the time to say such things. He is my bf, so he knows better but, what if it was just some friends online or, that you just met. Stuff like this ruins relationships.
So my question. How to I report trash like this. People like this shouldn't be playing this game. It can potentially friendships and, swatting can get someone killed. I personally think he should be banned but, with the options I have In game to make a report are limited.
Sorry for bad Grammer. Put me on a keyboard and, I'm Golden but, I miss all sorts of buttons on a touchscreen.

1 ReplyHey there. Any abusive text sent to you via the in-game chat should be reported in-game. Even if the report options don't specifically cover exactly what you're wanting to report it for, just go with one and Bungie will review it and take action if necessary. If it was sent via your platform's messaging, you would want to report it through that respective platform's report system. And if you're worried that it may escalate to become a real-life issue such as doxxing or swatting, please contact your local authorities.
