I would say this is more of a rant than a discussion considering how long it takes to complete a catalyst quest for a weapon that was previously designed to have the quest completed with a boost claimed from the season pass. So I have Eriana's Vow. I had it upon release but since my friends stopped playing I stopped playing as well and never got to complete the quest. This was on release so 2019. I still have the quest and haven't finished it. I now have Ticcu's and Duality. Annnnd of course they also have quests for their catalysts as well. My issue here is that without the catalyst boost you are not able to get it quickly which turns this into a hard grind. I saw that someone had discussed that what if Bungie made it so when you have a seasonal catalyst boost for the season pass weapon it applies to all catalyst quests. That would make getting powerful catalysts for the weapons you like much easier and faster as well as improve the likeliness of people purchasing the season pass as it provides an incentive. Season Pass > Faster Catalyst grabs > Customer satisfaction > Word spreads > More purchases > More money But I doubt that will happen.
