My point is this; the new “Event Card” system is, at best, dumb, and at worst, deceitful. It is confusing and pointless, and is obviously just another way to push micro transactions in game, but is it intentionally confusing? Is it set up in a way to make people unsure how to progress the un-monetized portion of the event? If you purchased the event card upgrade, please choose from the options above why you did so. A. I upgraded for the cosmetics that were not free. I was aware that a majority of the rewards were not locked behind the upgrade, but I wanted all of the cosmetics anyways. B. I was confused by the upgrade option. I thought you had to upgrade to earn all of the cosmetics. C. I didn’t upgrade because me smart guardian. Edit: I realize now that this is a bad poll. It is impossible to accurately poll an informed community on which of them are uninformed. However, I will leave this post up to keep dialogue going and because I still think that the Event Card is a bad system and that it will only get worse in time.

The more people "upgrade", the more it will encourage this sort of greed from Bungie. When they make money from an "upgrade card" on content that used to be included, the more resources go to new ways to cheese extra money out of the player base, instead of going towards game balance. I know which side of the fence I stand on.
