Linux Support

Let me start by saying that I understand the current policy on running on Linux using WINE/Crossover or in a VMware or VirtualBox Virtual Machine. Please don't waste your time (and mine) by telling me what the current state of affairs is. I know what it is. I'm asking Bungie to reconsider. As a Linux user for the past 20+ years, I don't run Windows outside of the occasional VM. I play Destiny 2 on Playstation consoles (I have both PS4 and PS5), and on Stadia (which works fine on Linux). I've just purchased a new system with an Nvidia 3090 Ti video card that will be a Linux-only system (no Windows license was even available from the vendor I purchased it from), and it would be nice to be able to load up Destiny 2 on it for the occasional look at it with the graphics turned up to 11. If I played the F2P version and decided that I liked playing with a keyboard/mouse, I might even switch from my console. But if I have to boot into Windows (which means acquiring a license and repartitioning my system with a Windows partition), that's just not going to happen, and I'll stay on my consoles. There is an audience for D2 for Linux users (not to mention Steamdeck, which is Linux under the covers), and Bungie is missing out by not supporting Linux. But it really is disappointing that Bungie tars all Linux users as potential cheaters because of the platform we choose to use. Deal with the individual cheaters instead, and let those of us who have thousands of hours invested in the game on other platforms play on our OS of choice without being punished for it.
