BUFF EXOTIC GLAIVES

They do not feel like they should take up an exotic slot; and their jobs can easily be done by many other things in the game.

  • They should make them do primary ammo after all its the dps as the bow and like unrelenting in pvp make guardians or strong enemy's count as more then 1 charge

  • Do not waste your time grinding for these exotic glaives, what a complete waste of time. In order to activate the perk, you need to shoot a couple clips. It's a glaive bungie!!!!! It's meant to be used as a melee, wouldn't it make sense to charge the glaive with melee attacks also???? Let me do your job for you!!! Do better...

        • Glaives in general need some reworking, this seasons artifact mods are 90% of the reason they are OK. Also disappointed Rhulk’s glaive from the raid doesn’t have a dash attack 😔. Haha that be asking for too much though.

          • Should have been ritual weapons. Too many exotics currently in game that don’t even match the ideals of exotics and those have been lacking for months or years now.

          • Imagine having to get 6 kills to charge that weak -blam!- hunter glaive just to fire a lackluster tiny spark that zaps a few adds when you have wave frame grenade launchers. I mean, they tested these and somehow have to KNOW they´re not exciting at all, right? The hunter glaive can´t do a fraction of the work trinity ghoul does, and that one has unlimited ammo and is ready to go after ONE kill.

            • I’m sure they were shipped underwhelming on purpose. They prefer that to OP. They probably want to see their utility before giving them too much. I do wish they were better though. The Warlock one is a bit disappointing.

              • The exotic glaives are absolutely pathetic and Bungie should be embarrassed to have released them into this game in their current state. That said, I've really enjoyed a lot of the other things this expansion has had to offer.

              • I think having them synergize with exotic armor and subclasses would be a sufficient buff. For example, if you are on Well of Radiance, the healing turrets can activate benevolent dawn. If you have Boots of the Assembler the turret fires faster/ tracks better, but if you have the Stag the turrets add like 10% DR

                    Allow melee hits, perhaps the most unique/used aspect of the glaive weapon archetype, to charge the meter, not just ammo (even if it's at a reduced rate). I feel penalized for using my shield at all as it prevents the exotic from using its perk, which makes it just seem like The Enigma but without the benefit of unstoppable force or any other choice perks. Essentially, you either avoid using the shield as much as possible and stick to using the exotic perk, or use it as you would a normal glaive and forego the exotic nature of the glaive all together. Also think a little timer for your bubble would be a nice touch too. Given the feedback I've seen here and elsewhere, I'm sure Bungie has plans on tuning these to be worth using, especially since these were kind've a big "draw" in all the promotional material for WQ.

                  • They should give them an exotic move since they are specific to a character. Maybe the aerial move will work differently with the glaive. Hunter - when slamming down with glaive, it sends a circular Shockwave killing ads. Warlock - dashes forward slicing enemies in front like a samurai dash. Titan - swings like a baseball bat smashing enemy if front. Does more damage than warlocks and doesn't cover the distance.

                    • Instead of buffing glaives, it is far more likely that bungie will nerf everything else that are making glaives look like they are weak.

                      • The warlock glaive has 4 shots and deals sh!t damage. To use it's perk you can't even block at all and the turret has sh!t range and is just random af. I'm better off using boots of assembler with lumina if I want to be a bored af healer. Healing in this game is a stupid concept anyway because you're either full health or insta dead. The turret is too slow and unreliable. The titan one at least blocks damage (don't know how much though) and the hunter one chains damage and naturally is the most useful of the 3 but even then trinity ghoul does that job way better with less hoops to jump through. The glaives are a meme.

                          They're so awful. Their abilities are not worth the cost and requirements to activate them, or even the grind to obtain them. They need a rework--badly. Firstly, increase the base magazine to 6 or 8. Then, give them the following abilities: Edge of Action: When weapon energy is full, you can consume it before firing, and deploy up to 3 protective shields on impact, each one consuming 1/3 of your weapon energy, and 2 ammo. Standing in, or walking through, one of these protective shields grants an Overshield, and makes your melee hits Volatile while you have an Overshield. Edge of Concurrence: when weapon energy is full, you can consume it before firing to deploy an Arc projectile that tracks to the nearest target, and emits AoE Arc pulses (for up to 15 seconds) that chain Arc lightning. Consumes entire Weapon energy and 6 ammo. Edge of Intent: When weapon energy is full, you can consume it before firing to deploy up to 3 healing turrets. These turrets tether and heal nearby allies (basically mini-Wells of Radiance, but not as strong at healing, and without the additional Overshield). Kills while being healed by these turrets restore ability energy (about 8-10% per kill).

                          • I haven't gotten any of them yet tho i watched Esoterricks vid on them and his statement about needing kills(hits?) to charge, was stupid. I think the first step would just be switch the ability to either an ammo conversion so you could pump out a bunch if you got the ammo and thats what you want to use it for. or just a cool down.
