The one where every other thread was complaining about how bad Reach was (yes, people complained a hell of a lot, ‘Reachtard’ was an actual slur) and spamming meatspin? Or the one where every other thread was forum drama, politics/religion flame wars and people licking [popular female user of the month]’s spats? That could be a few eras to be honest Or the one where every other thread was 7 year olds making three-word tweet posts five times a day? Way I see it the only legitimately bad thing about the forums nowadays is the lack of activity, everything else is par for the course here. But tbh even the lack of activity has its upsides. Feels a lot more chill and actually kinda close-knit compared to the barrage of new people making threads which would actually get pretty bland in ‘ye olde times’. Especially when you wanted to make a thread yourself cus you’d spend hours making something genuinely fun or engaging, post it, come back to it a few hours later and it’d have been buried under 30 newer threads and there’d be about 3 replies to it if you were lucky. And that would be your thread. DOA. And popular users don’t hide away causing drama and being -blam!- in private groups anymore *cough* Sapphire was a pile of -blam!- *cough*. And people don’t spread pictures of others about without their permission these days either, which was the inevitable downside to the face reveal threads and random omeagle chats that happened.
