Yes with orb gen.
Now if you disagree please explain because things like charge harvester or blast radius keep me charged with light when no orbs are present.

Two kills equals one orb.

1 kill equals light, I don't need to grab it. 1 round of ammo equals light, I don't need to grab it. I still don't see orbs as important.

So here's the thing. There are a couple pages of people losing their stuffing on orbs. That tells me that orbs are so amazing that it should be easy for a blind man to see the value. You haven't provided an explanation or example that moves the needle. So that tells me that orbs are ok but not game breaking.
