Favorite Enemy Type?

Just curious as to what most people’s favorite enemy types/races are? I personally like them in this order: 1) Vex 2) Hive 3) Fallen 4) Cabal 5) Taken 6) Scorn I feel like the Taken and ESPECIALLY the scorn are just recycled enemies. We need an entirely new enemy type from the ground up. However, the other enemies are still amazing to me. I feel like the hive have a better lore overall due to their sheer depth, but the Vex and their design/armor looks/areas/atmosphere are just my favorite overall. Just a fellow hunter curious as to what my fellow guardians think/feel on this topic!?!?

  • Man I love the scorn, their mad max look is perfect and I'm really gonna miss the shore next year. I think my favorite enemies to fight would be in this order: 1 hive. Not only are they the biggest threat to humanity rn, but killing them is also technically not wrong. They embrace death at our hands if we can prove we are stronger. Conscience is clean with them 2 taken. The faction that requires the most skill to use, and their abilities have lore in them as well to connect the beings they were to the taken versions (see the taken grimoire cards from D1) 3 scorn. Mad max fallen, their aesthetic is perfect and critting the censers is very satisfying. 4 cabal. I really liked the cabal in the beginning of d1 when they were badass war mongering beasts, plus they had achieved what none of the more powerful enemies of humanity had: taking the city and the traveler. However, they've kind of devolved from a menacing empire to a scavenger/tribal role similar to that of the fallen (except for caitl's cabal, but they aren't our enemy anymore and will likely Ally with us in lightfall, depends what happens with calus). They don't seem like a threat to the majority of humanity anymore as long as we keep them in check. 5 vex. Popping the juice box on them is so satisfying. Plus morally speaking it's not murder if theyre robots. However, I have mixed feelings about them bc their history is so mysterious. On one hand, it's the most interesting thing about them, but on the other it's been 7 years and we still know almost nothing about their origins. I think that would be the most interesting thing to slowly discover about them since their current MO is to convert everything in the universe to blocky stones. Plus wyverns are possibly the most annoying enemy ever, that jump attack is a -blam!-. 6 fallen. I want to be clear: the fallen are one of my favorite races in destiny, but it seems like we're past the point of fighting them. There definitly was a time where they were a threat we needed to deal with but since rise of iron, the fallen have been bandits that wreak havoc but are of no threat to the city anymore. I think we shouldn't run into hostile fallen bandits anymore than we should run into hostile human (or post human) bandits, but d2 has to keep it's T for teen rating and killing humans in the droves we slaughter the other races in probably wouldnt fly with that.
