Destiny 2 on Linux

You might've heard that Valve been doing lots of work lately to convince software companies especially game companies to support Linux. So far they got Epic and BattleEye involved and they both decided to support Linux going forward, both natively and through Proton and Wine. Although this quite the news it does require the game developer to update their anti-cheat implementation with the latest SDK for both Easy Anti Cheat and BattleEye. So I am wondering what Bungie have to say about this! Destiny 2 already works quite fine on Linux with Proton, and it been so for a while! the issue was that you'll face some of the those error codes when you try to login (previously you'd get your account banned too). Running the game through a compatibility layer is not emulation, and I am pretty sure the developers already know that, and now with the anti-cheat providing support, its all in Bungie's hands to give its community the option of using Linux. Whether you think highly of Linux or not, its an OS just like Windows and MacOS, and I think its fair for me and many other to choose the platform they prefer! The game already runs well enough, so the only effort (on the surface at least) that the Bungie has to put in is updating the anti-cheat with the latest SDK. What is Bungie willing to do! I and many others would really like to know.
