[i][b] Alignment[/b] walked up to the foot of the Academy and gazed at the now-finished architecture. Even after all of this time, he still had a difficult time to adjust. So much had happened in just a couple of years that he was sure that anyone would feel the same way. He lost his home twice, traveled to a new place, met new people, learned so much and faced his greatest challenge yet. Now, with his Academy fully operational, he had to make many more adjustments to his life. But, like all living things, he knew that he could adapt to this new world and all of the hardships that would come with it. [b]Alignment[/b] confidently walked through the Academy entrance to see the area in its full glory.[/i] [b]Alignment[/b]: “Everyone, I‘ve returned from my week long vac—“ [i]He was interrupted by the growing sound of rock music accompanied by the loud screeching of a microphone, which brought his attention to the center of the campus. [b]Balance[/b], wearing a jacket and leather pants, stood on a stage next to a few speakers and a boom box with her hair wrapped up in a ponytail, holding a wireless microphone close to her mouth. [b]Emphasis[/b] was on his back, deadlifting a massive stag beetle as it squirmed in his grasp. [b]Unity[/b] was childishly playing with a cat off to the side while [b]Proximity[/b] was monitoring her every move, making sure she wouldn’t get injured. While all of this was going on, [b]Dominance[/b] sat under a tree fast asleep.[/i] [b]Balance[/b]: “Alright, you hard working folk! Are you ready to get it on?!” [i]The crowd in front of her roared with applause, putting a big grin on her face.[/i] [b]Balance[/b]: “Then what are we waiting for?! Let’s get wild!” [i][b]Alignment[/b] immediately extended his hand and from his forefinger flowed a thin string of energy. The string jumped between the people in the crowd until it reached the microphone [b]Balance[/b] held in her hand, bringing it to him.[/i] [b]Alignment[/b]: “Absolutely not!” The crowd then groaned in disappointment. [b]Balance[/b]: “Party pooper!” [b]Alignment[/b]: “What is with you guys? I told you to take care of this place while I was gone, and you do this? Emphasis, put Barry down! I told you specifically that he is not a toy!” [i][b]Emphasis[/b] threw the giant stag beetle near [b]Dominance[/b], waking him up.[/i] [b]Emphasis[/b]: “Hey, don’t act so high and mighty, Mr. holier-than-thou! You said that you would be gone for a day and that we would get our time off the day after! It’s been a week! That’s eight days!” [b]Proximity[/b]: “Seven days, Emphasis. That’s the length of a week.” [b]Emphasis[/b]: “Quiet, big hat! My point is, you haven’t kept your word either! What’s up with that?” [b]Alignment[/b]: “There were... complications.” [b]Proximity[/b]: “Did you get injured?” [b]Emphasis[/b]: “Stop sucking up to him! He’s an adult like the rest of us, so he can deal with it himself!” [b]Unity[/b]: “I’m not an adult yet.” [i][b]Dominance[/b] began to fall back to sleep.[/i] [b]Alignment[/b]: “ENOUGH!” [i]Everyone’s attention shifted towards Alignment.[/i] [b]Alignment[/b]: “It’s obvious that I’ve been far too lenient on everyone here. I’ve given you all specific rolls to perform and it looks like you’ve done the exact opposite. Well, no more. In celebration of the completion of the Academy, I’m calling in our first Staff Meeting.”
