During my undercover operation...
I think I have discovered why so many people complain about this forum being dead.
Some old users act rudely to the new folks, which drives them away. This creates the emptiness the people from the "glory" days of Offtopic feel. No one has replaced those who have left, and if new people do come in, they must do things the way the current population like it done, meaning everything becomes bland after a while.
So relax, everybody, while you have time.

The forum is "dead" because it wasn't ever really alive. This is a tiny corner of a forum dedicated to a mediocre game. It would be like someone who is a member of the country golf club showing up to the neighborhood barbecue; of course its going to be different. And personally, I like it that way. There aren't many places on the internet you can get this level of companionship, Sure, we have our fights and threats of destruction, but it's all in good fun. Just chill, make some friends and have fun. Sometimes people blow things way out of proportion.

Your replies, from what I saw, boiled down to “U heresy, burn!”. That gimmick stops being funny after about two replies. And those two replies happened months ago. Not to mention a complete lack of respect or acknowledgement for stuff you didn’t create, but were still taking credit for. That’s just a jerk move. I’ve embraced plenty of new folk with open arms. We’re plenty nice to newbies under normal circumstances. Not usually as nice to annoying people, though. Besides, we all knew it was you; changing your name is a pretty easy ruse to see through. I just thought it was your Christmas name or something.

Declaring yourself to be an authority without the approval of the Offtopic government is a pretty shitty thing to do. Constantly harassing a shitposter and downvoting anyone memeing support for him is a pretty shitty thing to do. God Modding by dropping nukes, stun locking, or just straight up saying you win a fight are pretty shitty things to do. And when you are criticized for these things, you respond by throwing a fit or making a post like this claiming others are the problem. Ask Crowley how well that worked out for him when he first showed up.

There’s few people because off topic is the basement Not very many people use the forums let alone come into offtopic Also there’s only a dozen or so offtopic regulars And due to people being regularly banned and increasing restrictions the population of the forums is dwindling as they wander off to other forums on other sites So it has nothing to do with older people And everything to do with the forums being a rugged inhospitable place by design I don’t think bungie even wanted to add a offtopic section to be honest

It’s not because people were “mean” to you, which seems to be the reason you made this post. It’s because there’s, like, 10 people who are actually active here. Plus, it’s a real touchy bunch. 2 RepliesI'm only gonna say this once kid. 😂 Take it from someone who's pissed off probably the record number of people here, people will NOT like you if you challenge the current way things are done. Word of advice, shut your trap and join the crowd who has no complaints and follow how everyone else goes. I don't because I'm 50% sure I'm the most spontaneous person here, and some people don't like spontaneity. It's not good half of the time anyway. But what I'm trying to say here, is find the method that's right, and stick with the damn thing.
