450 lightweights pulses are the weakest weapons in destiny
Before someone is typing about the 4 bursts, that’s not what I’m talking about. 450 lightweight pulse rifles have the lowest damage in almost all pve activities while requiring perfect aim in pvp or 3 perfect bursts to get a kill. This archetypes has been completely overlooked throughout the entirety of d2. The exotics bad juju and outbreak as sub par at best as they can allow for an increase in damage, which is unfortunately quite situational. But it’s worse for the legendary versions. Chattering bone has an amazing perk pool but sees very little use in the overall landscape while infinite paths was literally unusable. I feel like 450s need the handcannon collapse treatment because there is no reason to have 2 different 450 pulse archetypes with one being less than useless.
I have been using outbreak since its re release back into the game A LOT and I’ve had enough with this archetype being forgotten, it needs some changes especially in pvp because it can’t compete with it requiring perfect play against these easier options.

Lightweight pulse rifles have never been weak but they always seem to contend in the wheelhouse of whatever the current meta is. For example, the Uriel's Gift then Hand Cannon then 600 Rpm auto rifle metas have been punishing the Lightweight archetype because they operate in the same 25-35m space. Since they require such a high precision hit ratio for optimal ttk, I think a recoil direction and aim assistance buff would help a lot. The sideways recoil even with a counterbalance mod just doesn't lend itself to precision when that is what is needed the most in order for them to be competitive in these metas.
