It’s the spooky day today, and the spooky spirit has been pretty dry this year, due to it being... this year.
So, in an attempt to capture a shred of that spirit, I’m going to talk about fear, the very emotion Halloween is based upon.
What is your favorite phobia/fear that you’ve heard of?
It doesn’t matter if you have it or not, nor does it matter if it’s completely rational or irrational.
It could be something that a friend of yours has or it could just be something you’ve heard about online.
As for me, my favorite for the time being is Anthropophobia, the fear of people or society.
Not because I can slightly relate to it, but because I find it intriguing to be afraid of individuals you know nothing about that constantly wander outside of your house.
It also feels like this fear could be more relevant nowadays, given how these catastrophes have brought out the worst in many people in our lives.
So, what’s your favorite fear?

Edited by Ghost Rider: 11/1/2020 8:44:25 AMHm...I’ve always been slightly creeped out by zombies of any kind...even the husks in Fortnite are unsettling. I think it’s the mindless and relentless nature of their behavior that does it. Fortunately it’s easily remedied by killing them. 👍 Funny phobias?: Good question. There are so many hilarious phobias out there, I struggle to take many of them seriously.
Sorry, all out of salt.
Spiders....
Specifically ogre spiders
I have a form of Cuprolaminophobia, which is the fear of coins.

The fear of the dark, and of the unknown are go to fears for when I need to scare people. One of my favourite tricks is pretending to be a prop mannequin, remaining so perfectly still I become invisible to the unexpecting (and sometimes the expecting) eye.
-
Personally I always found arachnophobia to be hilarious but even funnier is leporiphobia.
-
I have Apiphobia (fear of stinging insects). Oddly enough, a certain species of hornets does not trigger an attack.
-
Thanataphobia.
-
Hmm... either Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia or Aibohphobia.
-
Well, don’t have a favorite, I guess the only one that is revelent is the one I have... spheksophobia, or fear of wasp, hornets, and bees... Death to yellow and black bugs...

Edited by Sylver: 11/1/2020 3:27:33 AMPhobophobia. The only thing to we have to fear is fear itself. ...or so I’d say if I didn’t have chronic anxiety.

Arachnophobia amuses me. I own a pet tarantula so it clearly doesn't bother me, and while I can understand that certain spiders like funnel webs or huntsmen are unnerving, spiders will never be out to get you if you don't harass them.
-
Uhhh none. Scary.
-
Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.
Fear of the number 666.
-
Atelophobia.
