Veteran dialog and the infuriating annoyance of not having it.

Alright, it's once again hype time for Destiny, and with a new DLC on the horizon I've gotta admit I'm really hyped too. What I'm not hyped for, however, is the fact that my Guardian from Year one will once again be treated like just some Guardian who forged their legend in the embers of the Red War, instead of the Guardian who ripped out the Heart of the Black Garden, slew Oryx and his son, and became an Iron Lord. Yes, I know that you can transfer your Xbox Guardian to PC and got Veteran dialog, but I joined up during Season of Opulence, when account transfer wasn't a thing anymore/yet. I left Xbox D2 before any of the DLCs to release due to the lack of random roles really killing it for me. I got a PC a year ago and picked D2 back up because everything I loved Destiny for was back, Random roles, several Raids, interesting activities. Destiny was back, and I was hyped to get back into it. So I make my Guardian, make sure I carbon copy my Exo Warlock I love so very much, and I genuinely enjoy all that has happened to destiny. Then the announcement of Shadowkeep, the move to Steam, and Account transfer, and I'm like: Sweet, I can get my OG Guardian back! Problem is I spent so much time playing since I picked the game up on PC that I really couldn't sacrifice all my progress to get my D2 Day one Guardian back, I regret that. I really regret not sacrificing everything to get my veteran status back, because Shadowkeep was sorta a bummer because of how the world treated me. The Content was great! I loved all of it, but being treated like I had no idea what was going on on the moon I patrolled for hours in D1 just made me feel kinda unappreciated, I don't wanna come across as an entitled Vet who demands to be recognized for sticking with the game since Year one, but I do wanna be treated like I know what's going on. And with a brand new DLC on its way I dread being treated like I know nothing, I know Bungie can't be expected to run a background check to see if you should get Veteran dialog, but I really want some way of getting it back. As do I imagine several other Guardians who share an alike fate to mine. Something as simple as an option below Helmet toggle to enable Veteran dialog would be hugely appreciated. Does anyone else feel the same? Or am I just a bitter Vet who misses his achievements that ultimately mean nothing?
