Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten are in desperate need of a buff.
Once upon a time Luna’s and NF were king. However, after a much needed adjustment they took a backseat in the Crucible. Now, they are nowhere to be seen because they’re not worth using. The range on Luna’s is abysmal and an active detriment , while Not Forgotten barely keeps up with other 150s like Spare Rations and Dire Promise. The Magnificent Howl perk only affects body shots which allows for a 2 crit 1 body, but you can 3 tap with every other 150 in the game by just hitting the extra crit (which after the hand cannon changes that came in Shadowkeep is really not that hard). I don’t necessarily want them to be the way that they used to be, but I do want them to be better. It’s the least they deserve after being nerfed hard during the launch of Year 3. I’m on console by the way, I don’t know how it performs on pc.

I just miss original lunas and NF. They were out of hand sure but there was things they could have done other than take away their one redeeming quality, that being the ability to 3 tap at 180 RPM. They could have made it so that the magnificent howl shot only dealt extra damage to the head so that you couldn’t 2 head 1 body blisteringly fast, they could have made it so that the 3 bullets all had to be on the same target so that you could carry a mag. howl shot to the next engagement and 2 shot someone, they could have nerfed the aim assist or the stability, or they could have done all of these things. Anything but taking all the character away from the guns. Pinnacle weapons are designed for good players. What good player is going to take advantage of the ability to 2 head 1 body with a 150, when any good enough player to get not forgotten in the first place (at the time when it was infinitely harder than now) will just be hitting 3 headshots? For anyone who can hit 3 headshots consistently its just another 150 hc but without the perks you can get on other 150s like high caliber rounds, ricochet rounds, kill clip, rapid hit, rangefinder, and snapshot which are infinitely more valuable.
