You could say I'm a full time solo player. In short speeches - I can say that looking for loopholes in the game and trying to break through here and there as a solo player is endlessly complicated in this game. However, I try to keep up with the nolifers and the elitists. I have practically everything I want, a fully done whisper mission, an outbreak mission, and catalysts, ships, got Izanagi solo, grinded solo soltice armor, and so on and on. You just have to accept that playing solo in this game you just won't get anything you want, but you can get other weapons that will be just as good as raid weapons and so on. I have no Recluse or Mountain top - but I honed my skills with FIghting Lion, Orenwings moul. I have Multi kill clip, outlaw Subjunctive, Masterworked huckleberry and so on and on. The only thing is that there should always be a choice in the game. Freedom of choice. Otherwise, the game loses some of its potential by targeting only one group of players.

  • Solo player here as well. You should really go for the recluse. It’s more frustrating than hard to get

  • I’ve been a solo player since September 2014. I agree with most of these threads. Yet it’s not impossible to achieve “Pinnacle” gear or quests without a team. I have the “Recluse”, Randy’s Throwing Knife, and currently completing the Luna’s Howl quest. ( I need 68 more precision Hand Cannon Kills) I have never been part of a “team” acquiring any of these pieces of gear. I’m an average PVP player, but achieved “Fabled” ranking as a first step while doing quests. I am married, with a young baby, and a full time job while completing a degree at a university. I am not at all bragging, and different people have different lives. I am writing this thread because even though Destiny is a team based game, it is very possible to achieve leveling, and gear. Unfortunately, it’s about the long and tedious grind. Good luck to you :)
