There needs to be [u]OPTIONAL[/u] matchmaking for everything.

Some things aren't ment for solo players like Raids and Trials because it can require a fair bit if communication. Sure, people find ways around that to challenge themselves, but those are the same people that would frequently run these activities together so they get into a rhythm and have a system of how things are done and who is doing what. I've notice the seasonal public event tries to instance spawn people into active events. Plenty of times I've started it solo or with 1 other fireteam member and within 5 minutes I've seen 2 or 3 other people show up out of nowhere. Its not impossible, even for a responsible adult. Just figure out a gameplan of what you want to work on and how much time you have to do it is all.

I agree on the Raids, It was just simpler to say Optional matchmaking than try to explain it. I do think there should be some kind of matchmade introductory Raid though, just to get people used to the mechanics and instill interest in the Raids. If you can get on with a decent group in the seasonal public event it can be completed with randos, I've been able to complete it 3 or 4 times with them that way. It's hit or miss, but like you said, not impossible.

I have no intrest in downloading the game to check, but does trials have freelance? Like trials is the one mode where freelance would be logical to have.
