The way you put it, it sounds more like a personal problem than a solo player problem.
Destiny was never meant to be a solo experience.
Either get a clan or drop Destiny.
Assuming you have your priorities straight.

Before I played Destiny for the first time, bought the night before, so before day one, I never ever heard "Destiny was never meant to be a solo experience." Never heard that ever anywhere. It was made into a "Not meant to be a solo experience" it was never advertised that way, ever.

Sure it says that on the box - "Single and multiplayer games, but not really single, except some parts that are ONLY single, but most of everything else is 3-players, but sometimes 4, but matchmaking will help align you with other players to complement your playstyle, except when matchmaking is disabled, then we encourage you to find other means to play this game, except when 6 players are needed, then we recommend you join a clan, but clans aren't an actual requirement, except when a large clan can help boost rewards, bounties, and other areas. But it CAN also be a single player game, if you play the story, which used to be ...." ...Or something like that. Admittedly, it's been a while since I've seen an actual disc.
