Okay ever since the major weapon update in Year 2, where shotguns and snipers found a home in the energy slot. I’ve always wanted a special ammo sword What makes this weapon pinnacle is the slot it uses. In my opinion this could be a great idea for both PvE and PvP! In PvE it revitalizes a under used weapon type. If this is introduced as a pinnacle/ritual weapon. It could even go under Vanguard or Gambit. All it needs is to tone down the damage output to be equal or better of a shotgun. Which in any case should be standard considering shotguns give the leeway of distance that swords don’t. Which also helps balance the PvP. A special ammo sword (in Crucible) should either be a one shot kill, or 2 light atks/1 heavy atk to kill. If a shotgun can kill with one shot, then a special ammo sword wouldn’t be a problem having the same ttk That’s my idea at least. I’m not saying to change any of the current weapons, but make new ones. Like how there is 2 types of grenade launchers I added a poll for sheets and giggles so feel free to vote on if you want special ammo swords or nah
