How many eggs has Gaston eaten in his entire life?
How many Eggs has Gaston eaten in his life?
Facts:
- When Gaston was a lad, he ate 4 dozen eggs every morning (to help him get large)
- Now that Gaston’s grown, he eats 5 dozen eggs (so he’s roughly the size of a barge)
- Gaston is canonically 25 years old.
Assumptions:
- Judging by Gaston’s current age and how he uses the term “lad”, it’s safe to assume “lad” refers to his years as a 10-17 year old.
Math:
(4*12 eggs)(365 days)(7 years) = 122,640
(5*12 eggs)(365 days)(8 years) = 175,200
122,640 + 175,200 = 297,840 eggs
Conclusion:
Gaston has eaten a minimum of 297,840 eggs. This doesn’t account for eggs eaten with meals other than those in the morning (lunch, dinner, snacks, etc.), leap years, the eggs he ate before the age of 10, the eggs he ate in the tavern (because he may have been waiting to eat them just in case the town broke into a musical number), or the months between his birthday and death.
