It's my understanding that multiple solar/vortex grenades have been unable to stack damage onto a single target since Destiny 1 (unlike pulse), so perhaps this is beating a dead horse, but nevertheless it feels bad to that the Sunbracers exotic has such strict requirements to have such poor single target dps utility. In a sandbox with many better ad clear options, then Sunbracers serves virtually no purpose in PVE - certainly not in PVP.
The Sunbracers perk requires a solar melee kill to activate, then the user has 4 seconds to begin using grenades followed by 4 seconds of actually usage time which is a max of 4-5 grenades. These are highly restrictive parameters that are useful for only killing low level PVE targets since the damage doesn't stack onto single targets like bosses, but again there are many better non-exotic ad clear options. In my clip it's clear that the grenades did not stack as it didn't even add up to the damage of 4 normal grenades, let alone the damage of 4 extended duration grenades like the Sunbracers perk grants.
My suggestion would be to make the perk activate on melee ability hit instead of kill, to extend each timer by a few seconds to make the damage worthwhile for the exotic slot, and/or to rework solar grenades to be able to stack onto a single target up to 5 times.
