Yea but then you sacrifice having more mods to insert because general mods cost significantly more. Like what if I wanted to use shotgun for Savathuns Song strike and want Void resistance armor? I'll have to use general mods, thereby losing out on modifications because it will cost more. It restricts you for no good reason.
