It gets downvoted to hell not because of Stockholm syndrome.
It’s because no one really cares about anyone else’s reason for stopping a leisurely pursuit.
But a lot of you feel the need to format forum posts like a 15 year old writing in her diary so it’s come to be something that I just look at, roll my eyes and say whatever, and file away as just another random musing from someone who feels that making a decision that is by no means important more than it actually is.
You don’t enjoy something.
Cool.
Doesn’t mean people wanna hear about it.

Nailed it.
It’s because no one really cares about anyone else’s reason for stopping a leisurely pursuit.
Why do people make comments like this when the OP post is trending "from people that don't care" You saying that proves you are making a false claim and you only posted this to express your anger.
-
We dont care about his reasons, we care about his bullshit post here. Try to keep up.
-
Don't lie, lol. You and many others (only saw the title) and instantly you saw red and nothing else. Try not lying...
-
Well said.

I wish I could remember the forum hero that posted this at one time, but he's awesome: "This is not an airport, you don't need to announce your departure" lol
-
Edited by Killmonger: 10/9/2019 11:46:48 AMThat was me. You still remember that lol.

Use it every chance I get lol

I strongly suspect Bungie will want to hear why PAYING customers are ditching their product.
-
And does op say WHY they're leaving?
No they don't just like every other worthless "I quit" post
-
Obviously the game is no longer for him. Theres currently 15 million tracked D2 players, 95% of which no longer play Destiny for a multitude of reasons.
-
I'm still waiting for the part where you tell me his reasoning for leaving, just saying "it's no longer for me" means absolutely nothing.
-
Maybe ask the OP why they are quitting Destiny.
-
Edited by Bleu, Lord of Divinity: 10/9/2019 9:17:20 AMThat's the problem, OP didn't give a reason for quitting. Of course Bungie wants to know why you stopped playing but OP doesn't even give a hint as to why they stopped playing. Making this post completely worthless.
-
The game is no longer for him. He isn't having fun anymore. Why does he need to give more of a reason? He wasn't being a douche in his post, so why do you feel the need to be? If you like the game then keep on playing. The man was simply stating his farewell to destiny and the player base.
-
If the point is to let Bungie know you are frustrated enough to leave a departure post, it behooves you to elaborate the reason. As the eminent philosopher Tom Cruise once said: “Help me, help YOU!”
-
Forget it. You'll never get the point.
-
Well said!
-
The problem is there is nothing actionable in their post. How would bungie even fix anything when no actual information is given?
-
Bungie cares, believe me they do.
-
Thank you.

Get a job o you won’t have to read about it. This is a forum where feedback is welcome. His post is worth millions when yours is just adding pollution to the world.

Until then, I’ll just be sitting here with my hat tipped low, chillin.

That is totally depends on your definition of feedback. A player who's been a customer of Bungie for 10 years stopping playing their game is kinda of a feedback. Not a specific one at that, to be honest but it points out that something might be wrong here. You might also argue a single player leaving don't matter to Bungie which is true. On the other hand, so many players has left since D1 days. Surely, new players also came in. But it does make you stop and think of the strategy of a developer company in retaining customers which should should be a great focus of live service type of games. Some might also argue that it is easier to attract new customers (wink, wink New Light, going to F2P) is easier than retaining the existing customer base. FYI, this is a known business strategy especially used by companies in service type industries such as telecommunication companies offering much better deals to new customers while 10 years old customer on a horrible deal. PS: I tried to format my reply like a 15 years old boy, hope it worked better for you :)

I’ll leave the rest of what you said be except for the second to last paragraph. That is partially true. But there are a healthy amount of “l’m mad because they are getting it cheaper now even though I had a similar deal when I started/signed up/whatever.” Don’t believe me? Read any application with an advertisement for anything. The deal isn’t always horrible, and people forget that when you sign up for something that is prorated or discounted it usually comes with a contract and you have to continue business regardless how you feel, unless you are willing to pay whatever financial penalty that’s in the TOC or TOS. It’s a tool that they use to ensure continued revenue over time. But we can agree to disagree. This is not something I wanna discuss too much more today.
