I think you missed the point on this one, we're talking about new armor and how the new system will require less complete sets in order to have every Armor 2.0 option available. All you need is 3 sets, anything above that is just having sets that maximize certain stats like Intellect, Discipline, and Strength. Even if you have different sets for optimization, you are looking at like 10 armor sets MAX. If you have 70 armor sets, then you clearly are holding on to way too many old armor pieces. I am keeping a bunch of Forsaken armor with perks that are unobtainable now, but will probably get rid of most of them over time as the Armor 2.0 perks are much more potent. I like the way the current system is, it gives more customizability without the feeling of having everything unlocked after only getting 1 set.

Sure if I wanted to boil my creativity down to 3-10 sets I could, but there's over 70 exotic armor pieces in the game soooo I let my mind roam free in the possibilities for them all. Plus that's just bound to get boring, especially for Destiny. Need something to go for.

  • You do realize that once you have an Armor 2.0 piece with a certain elemental affinity, it is exactly the same as other Armor 2.0 pieces with the same element? The customizability is with the mods you put into your armor, and the current system allows for more customization than ever. It's funny that you are saying you want more armor sets to obtain, yet, I made the exact same argument when saying I agree with keeping the different element affinities. We are sort of saying the same thing in that regard.

We aren't really saying the same thing, the only point I made to you was having one of each element, if the system was less restrictive, that'd be nice.
