Also, don't even think about raiding right now....
You will FAIL. Some will get it done, but the odds are very low. If you completed, good for you, you are one of the few. Look at the stats via achievements on xbox and ps4.
How many times does your team wipe and everyone is like what happened?
Bungie is milking these raids for everything they can. They want you to watch their fake community on twitch and youtube. They don't want you raiding. They want you watching.
This is the number 1 reason we don't have matchmaking for raids. Bungie knows they would get exposed if too many people get in and figure out that Bungie's Programming is wiping you for know reason at all.
This game is garbage with BS mechanics that are designed to wipe you until they have milked their raid for everything they can.
I've watched 3 or 4 hours of raid gameplay and I've wittnessed wipe after wipe for no reason at all. Bungie is playing with peoples souls. They know everyone is afraid of screwing up so if the raid wipes... most people are like "well it wasn't me".. and the beat goes on.

Dude, have you actually seen the raid yet? Like actually gone in? Because its not for no reason. There are many mechanics at work, and this raid is going to be challenging. Which is what the community has wanted since Eater of Worlds, Spire of Stars and Scourge of the Past were all so easy, you can get them done within an hour without even trying now. If you can't get a grip on the mechanics, go watch teams that have completed it to get a grip.

Ya, I've seen several teams raid. And they fail over and over again. Not because they're screwing up... They are failing because the raids are glitched by Bungie.

Really? Because I've done several encounters. It's not as tough as you think, you just need coordination. There is no conspiracy. This raid will not be like Scourge, like you're wishing. There's a reason it took 7 hours for the first completion: This raid is going back to being a real challenge. And I LOVE it for that reason. And before you say anything, no, I'm just a random joe, and my clan is a random joe clan. We've been completing encounters. We are going to do a full run tomorrow. We know there are no glitches, we just need to be careful as to not mess up anything. And unless you can see the perspectives of all 6 people in a team, and can see all of them were flawless, THEN you might be able to make that claim. Otherwise, people fail because they mess up. And that is the norm, not the exception.

Matchmaking would never work for raids, you can't get 6 randoms to do Menagerie quickly or correctly let alone mic up .

How old are you ? What part of this can't you wrap your head around ? Heroic menagerie, 950+ nightfalls, and raids do not have matchmaking because they are difficult . This isn't hard to comprehend . Go to lfg right now and ask for 5 people with no mic and go do a raid a 980 nightfall and a heroic menagerie and post your results . Because this is what matchmaking would be like .

we already how much of a failure raid matchmaking would be. we already have it, its called guided games and no one uses it because people quickly found out how bad alot of people that use it are. no mics, under leveled, horrible weapons ect

Buddy, if people can't figure out the relic mechanic in the Last Wish strike, there's no way they'll do any encounter. Matchmaking is random, and good luck finding 5 other people who know what they are doing. Half the time they don't even look up what to do for the raid.

I Kinda Agree That MM In Raids Wouldnt Work. But LFG Is Basically The Same As MM. And In My Opinion LFG Is Toxic. Have So Many Clears,Know What To Do Etc. This Is Why People Are Asking For MM.

"They don't want people raiding." Yes, they do. I think in all or the trailers, the raid is mentioned in one of them, and it's naturally geared towards hardcore players. The entire marketing campaign has been on the Moon, and what's inside of the Scarlett Keep. The raid is an after thought for people who check out the ViDocs, which are the people who come back. Matchmaking for raids exist... and it sucks. And while it's tough finding an LFG, it's easier to find one after maybe, half an hour of searching, than realizing an hour into a matchmade game your team is not going to beat this encounter.

Why do less than 10% participate?

Because when a game launches, naturally not everyone who plays it, will play the game forever. Casuals exist, you know. And they buff the population. But hardcore fans normally make up around 10% of the community. And I know many people in my clan who haven't gone in yet because they aren't at a light level they want, and so are grinding out that instead of tackling the raid at 903 light. It's pretty simple.

10% is generous. Some raids only 3% participated. Seems kind of low?
