You dont "git gud' ina grind game... you just grind, because this game doesnt require actual high end coordination skills.
Hit max level,
Get god roll weapons,
max out armor and weapon stats,
do it for all 3 characters,
raid with others who do the same.
That's it.

You do need to git gud. Obviously you aren't good enough to grind for each armour piece, which is evident in your post, or your intelligence level hasn't "got good" yet.
