SCP-041-OT (Virus as an SCP)

Object classification: Keter Containment procedures: Foundation agents are to be planted in all major antivirus companies posing as employees. Agents are to distribute updates to all possible antivirus software regularly in attempts to hinder and/or eliminate traces of SCP-041 from computers, toll meters, medical equipment, server farms, phones, calculators, and other objects capable of basic and/or advance computing. Any possible origins of SCP-041 are to be investigated for any possible way of properly containing SCP-041. Rescue efforts are to be attempted on Site-D2 with no wireless communication and/or other wireless devices. Rescue efforts are currently ongoing. Description: SCP-041 is a computer virus capable of being spread via emails, pop ups, or previously infected websites. Upon infection, SCP-041 will proceed to forcibly download itself to local computers via routers. Once downloaded, 041 will begin calculating what is currently believed to be a global containment procedure, designed to efficiently hold the human population indefinitely. Cause and method in which SCP-041 intends to achieve this goal is currently unknown. SCP-041 has proven capable of removing, rewriting, and modifying its own code to avoid detection, making removing the object a long and difficult if not at times, impossible process. (See incident log 041-01 for further details). Knowledge on SCP-041 came to the foundation's attention when several wireless security systems within [Redacted] Japan, simultaneously locked all doors indefinitely. This incident was covered as a operation system error while undercover agents posing as a security installation service removed the supposedly defective units. Text Log 041-01
Site-D2: Dr. Parker August 11, 2016 After several weeks of studying and dissecting data left behind by SCP-041, we discovered snippets of coding to be capable of running large, complex programs at 0.26% the load it usually requires. This leads to the possibility to utilize this section of code to exponentially increase the amount of storage and the efficiency of all of our programs. Trial results show some promise with a possible final product ready within a few months.
Text Log 041-02
Site-D2: Dr. Parker November 13, 2016 As it turns out my theory was correct. We attempted applying this code to several programs on a local network and so far, I'm running some of the latest in 3D rendering software in real time on a 12 year old computer with no signs of strain. We will be applying this to Site-D2's software as soon as possible.
Incident report 041-01:
After Site-D2 failed to report for 3 weeks, a hand letter arrived to Site-OT on December 12, 2016. Do not use the code. Currently locked within Site-D2, no escape. Successfully severed our wireless connection. Get us out of Site-D2. 041 Wrote itself into the code. It won't let us leave. Dr. Parker

Oh yes, a computer virus that wishes to detain people. Thought it would be in interesting twist if a site was being contained by an SCP since I think that would pretty much be the ultimate "we screwed up" moment. Anyways I've been meaning to finish this one but might have been feeling a little lazy lol. Also I don't do a lot of Keter SCPs so I was brainstorming how to make something that's hard to contain. Enjoy!
