it’s because more people have time on the weekends to play than on the regular (work) days.

I also find it highly questionable that they dropped the vidoc within a week of borderlands 3 dropping.

Yes and it's also now the 4th or 5th time that CoD is going to kill Destiny. At this point Bungie should just release a dlc called Survival as an homage to all the games that have tried to kill it.

Not exactly. Shadowkeep is October 1st, and COD doesn’t release until Oct 25. So granted marketing purposes yes it was done to help market it more I don’t think it was done in fear of Modern warfare.
