Once Oct. 1st rolls around and we play Shadowkeep then we will know if the changes hyped in the video actually make the game more fun to play?
Point being.
Don’t get sucked in by the hype.
Play for yourself and then offer your feedback/opinion.

I'll watch and see prior to considering buying SK, I think that way you can take in initial reaction, feedback and ongoing player thoughts over time to get a better feel of how SK has been implemented and plays out. I'll give it a month then decide...

I'm waiting to see how the changes to the sandbox plays out before I decide on buying Shadowkeep. Honestly, the more that has been revealed on the direction this franchise is heading has given me pause

Not necessarily. In my case I’ll be at work. On Oct. 1st I will read the reviews and via Discord be able to get feedback from clan mates that are playing. Once work ends, should I decide, I can then head over to Gamestop or purchase from the console store. How’s that buying into the hype? It’s called doing some due diligence prior to purchasing IMO.
