More color blind settings :)

I know it’s a lot to ask but maybe please. Overwatch not to long ago added some amazing new color blind setting, an I know destiny and Overwatch are completely different games. But if we could get something like the filters and color highlight changes. It would me a lot :) I know there are many different kinds of color blindness so I know it would be hard to come up with something that suits everyone. However, if anyone can do it it’s you guys.

  • It would be nice if we could change the site reticle. Because I cant hardly see it most of the time.

I don't like existing red reticles on most weapons (IRL as well), at least dot variety, but there are very few weapons with other options - Gambit/Iron banner, that may have chevron reticle, which I like, and IKELOS revolver, that has purple dot. According to videos, Thorn also has green T-shape, but I've yet to acquire it, besides, it is one and only. Moreover, some UI colours are kinda meh. Using existing colour blind options helps to improve readability of some of those elements (*cough* radar *cough*), but everything else goes into rave party zone.

          • Destiny 1 was actually the reason I first realized I had some sort of colorblindness. I kept seeing what I thought was exotic and legendary engrams on the ground and getting confused when they were collected they turned green. I brought it up to my optometrist, and after some testing he diagnosed me with tritanomaly. As it stands I’d love to see the color blind settings tweaked a bit. Currently the tritanopia setting actually gives me more problems than the default coloring.

              • Protanopia settings work perfectly for me. Thanks to that I'm able to see the difference between legendary and rare engrams. Let's add more options in hopes of everyone being able to play the game.

I second this. I am slightly color blind (like 8% of the male population is) in faint shades of light pink and pale green, they just look greyish and indistinct. I have tried all the Destiny options and they simply don't work well. By not working well, I mean they cause strange color shifts in other things. I think it was Trinatopia that worked Ok for Crucible, but my Radar colors went from normally being Red to a sickly Yellow color. What they need to do is add an option to make the fainter pink - green colors (at least fro me) more bold and obvious. The colors of the environment is fine, but things like Crucible are not. Another issue is allowing us to specify the color of the reticule when ADS. Some weapons (like Whisper) have a reddish reticule and not only is that harder to detect in use, it's a real PITA when the environment is Red too.

                    • There is an option in the settings tab, bottom right from memory if it helps

                      • In standard mode, I cant tell the difference between green and blue gear because I have Tritanopia. Using the corresponding mode to change the colors, the blue looks fine, but the green looks white. I wish Bungie would offer a color slider for each rarity so we can custom define what color looks best for us. Also, I wish that the colorblind modes would affect more than rarity identifiers. I cant see the faint red sniper dot unless its against an extremely dark surface. Getting the Revoker required a lot of me lining up people the best I could and hoping it was right.
