Hey all,
A few weeks back, we talked about Enhancement Cores coming from Gunsmith bounties in the TWAB. I wanted to give a quick update on this, as it also involves Mod Components, which have been a topic of discussion as well. Please note- this is all still in development for Season of Opulence, and could change.
• Originally announced in the TWAB, these bounties would cost Gunsmith materials. This has been changed to Glimmer.
• There will be multiple daily bounties to complete, each rewarding one enhancement core and two mod components
• There will be two weekly bounties to complete. These will each grant one enhancement core, one mod (Weapon or Armor), and other materials or reputation/rank points depending on the objective of the bounty.
• Note: When I say rank points, think Valor or Infamy, **not** Glory.
The team is continuing to evaluate feedback over mod components, enhancement cores, and rewards all up. Thank you for the continued feedback. We'll give you updates as we have them.

I believe it’s a very good thing to have this discussion pinned. I really do, but it’s also getting to be that time for us to have a real reason behind Bungie’s decision. I think there may be a path to us both (Community and Bungie) getting what we want, but only if we can have an honest dialogue. Without that honesty, we are both in a corner. - Community committed to removing cores. - Bungie committed to whatever underpins cores. That’s not a healthy cycle. Fatigue is the only result in almost every aspect from gameplay to comms to brand et. Al. For the sake of argument, if we accept that the only reason cores exist in infusion is meaningful choice, then removing them from that process ends this whole issue. Meaningful choice is inherent in the game already, which is fundamentally why no one accepts the argument. So, maintaining that argue while refusing to remove them can only prove that there is some other reason. If we do not get to that discussion, you’ll lock us both in this cycle indefinitely. Fatigue and mistrust will keep many from playing D3 and land you right back here again with those that remain... if you even manage to get to that point.
