Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from Aifos Tonight! So why don’t we jump in with our interview, with everyone’s favorite bird, Jet!
Er.. Jet?
An Interview with Jet the Hawk
Jet: “Ugh, this is stupid! Why do I have to be on this idiotic show!?”
Wave: “Maybe you forgot how much we’re getting paid for this.”
Er, Jet..?
Jet: “What do you want?”
We’re live...
Jet: “And? What do I care?”
Wave: “(hushed)That means be on your best behavior, or we’re out of our money!”
Jet: “Hmph! Fine.”
So, ahem, you’re an Xtreme Gear racer right?
Jet: “The best you’ll ever see!”
I don’t doubt it! According to my records here you’re a speed type racer. That would put you in the same class as Sonic, wouldn’t it?
Jet: “It might be the same class, but definitely not on the same level! I’ll beat that hedgehog any day!”
I see, I see! Have you ever considered car racing?
Jet: “What?”
You know, with cars?
Jet: “No way! My ride is the board!”
Are you sure? There’s this racing tournament run by Dodo-
Jet: “Shut it! I don’t want to hear about it! I don’t use cars!”
Shame. I suppose it’s time to move on then..
Well, it’s onto our next segment! This one’s brand new, and totally not ripped off from another fictional talk show!
That’s right, it’s time for,
Hit that Bird!
The Helmeroc King—Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Helmeroc King is a massive bird in the Wind Waker, who kidnaps your sister at the beginning of the game, mistaking her for the pirate Tetra.
As the game progresses, you eventually find out that the Helmeroc King is also the guardian of the evil Forsaken Fortress, and servant of Ganondorf.
Eventually you fight the Helmeroc King, smashing his mask with the great Skull Hammer, and driving the Master Sword into its skull!
What a happy ending! Now, moving on!
The Sound of OSTs
Lugia’s Song—Pokémon 2,000
Okay, this is technically cheating, since Pokémon 2,000 is a movie, but it’s a video game based movie, so it counts.
This song is played to imbue Lugia with strength, helping him keep harmony between the three Titans of Lightning, Ice, and Fire; Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. I do wish there was a version without the trumpets, though.
Such a pretty song! And to round it all out, our final segment!
Pretty Neat Games You Should Totally Try Sometime!
Race the Sun
Race the Sun is a pretty simple game, where you drive a bird-shaped craft down a pseudo-randomly generated obstacle course. You’re solar powered, so you have to get as far as you can before the sun goes down.
It’s not overly complex, but it’s nice when you want a simple game to relax to. If I remember, I think it was pretty cheap, too. Less than $10.
How about you? What are your favorite birds from video games? Any nice songs? What about a video game recommendation?
In any case, that’s all for now, folks! Jambuhbye!

I finally upgraded my super old outdated iPod. I found a really good puzzle game. It has NO reason to have a soundtrack this good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST-UDfuSrjc

My favorite bird is a hard one to answer. I love the cute little brids form Spiral Knights (can't remember their names right now, but I'll get back to you on that one. Edit; their called Snipes). As for recommendations have you ever played Hyper Light Drifter? If not, then it's similar to dark souls (same dark atmosphere and frustrating boss and death mechanics) but it's a 16-bit zelda-styled game, which has an added mechanic that allows you to do a quick dash away from enemy fire or allows you to dash to other platforms.
What are your favorite birds from video games?
Rowlett/Decidueye and the Snipes (debut album 2019) have already been mentioned so I’ll mention another favorite bird from games: Torchic! That, and Torchic’s final evolution Blaziken.
Any nice songs?
I think I’ll share a song I haven’t mentioned before. Ever heard of a game called Vagante? Here’s an alternate version of the forest area’s theme.
What about a video game recommendation?
Here’s a game a friend’s been recommending to me that I’ll have to try out myself. It’s called Outer Wilds and it’s an adventure game with a groudhog day loop. In it, you’ve got a little solar system to explore, but the time loop you’re in only lasts 20 minutes. My friend has nothing but love for it and it sounds like a great emotional roller coaster with some interesting puzzles.

I don’t want to give this it’s own thread, so I’ll ask here. Anyone know if there’s a port of Sonic 3 & Knuckles on any modern consoles? Preferably Xbox One or Switch, but PS4 works too. I’m in a mood for some classic Sonic, and while I love Sonic CD & Sonic Mania, they just don’t hold a candle to Sonic 3 & Knuckles (athough I really should beat 2 one of these days). I know Xbox has Sonic 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, but it’s not the same if they aren’t together, y’know? I’ve still got my old Gamecube collection that has it but my Gamecube controller doesn’t work like it used to. A button has a delay on it. I should really get a new one.

Death stranding is going to be a total flop

For favorite bird, I'd probably say the Helmaroc King from LoZ WindWaker. (Bird boss in Gannon's island) As for music, I was very impressed with the song they made for Arch Tempered Nergigante. That thing beat me into oblivion, but that theme song was incredible. Recommendations, Dauntless I guess. Sort of like Monster Hunter but toned down a bit. Seems like a good bit of people are playing it.

Edited by Pyrus: 6/4/2019 6:05:04 PM
What are your favorite birds from video games?
Out of all birds, probably Dedicueye from Pokémon Sun and Moon. He's a pretty cool starter, being an owl that knows archery. It's also one of my favourite starters by far. Plus I do have a soft spot for owls too!
Any nice songs?
Well, I've started replaying Minecraft again for sheer nostalgia and childhood memories. One of the songs I love in the game is called 'Wet Hands'. It's a nice relaxing song that really gives off a nice chill vibe.
What about a video game recommendation?
If you can, try out Borderlands the Handsome Collection while it's free! It's definitely one of the funniest and most fun games out there! Plus it has one of my favourite side missions of all time!
What are your favorite birds from video games?
I'm not sure I really have one.... But as much as I dislike Bioshock: Infinite, I'd have to give it up for Songbird. The character design is just incredible.
Any nice songs?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8h7OP2d-1Zk Katana ZERO - "Snow" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahp7I9S3U20 Katana ZERO - "Full Confession" The whole OST is killer, these two songs just really stick out to me.
What about a video game recommendation?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfYBSWAOcZs Warhammer: Vermintide 2 I was really excited for this game when it came out, and I really enjoyed it. But, as with all games, I put it down for a while and my friends slowly drifted off it. I haven't been gaming at all for the past 10 days or so, but before I stopped I got back into this game hard. It's a brutal Left 4 Dead-esque horde run game in a medieval high fantasy setting. The characters feel unique, the talent trees offer diversity, the gearing system is fairly broad, the levels and objectives are fresh and challenging, the soundtrack is powerful, and the graphics are stunning. What I really love about this game, though, is how satisfying the hits are. You really feel the weight of a swing, and that meaty thud as you crack some skulls. By a long shot, this is the most satisfying first person melee combat I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. This is also a truly great co-op experience. If you can get some friends on this game and go to town on hordes of rats and Chaos, you're going to have a fun time. After that you can try to do in-game challenge runs and Heroic Deeds (quests).

I miss Jet, he was cool

What's with the bird theme this week? Oh - I bought Hollow Knight on your recommendation! I think the first thing that hit me is how visually stunning it is! The trailer really didn't showcase that enough. But each location in the game so far has been beautiful, and I love the character designs. Considering that Hollow Knight is inspired by the Metroid series, I do think the game is making mistakes that series learned from decades ago... But on the whole it really is excellent so far. Hopefully it holds up until the end.

There were bird things on Delta Halo that were fun to shoot. There were some on Guardian in Halo 3, too.
