I fail to understand how adding more options for solo players will “hurt” the game. I really think the problem is that there is this blind hatred towards solo players. It kills me to read those posts because it’s like that group wants solo players to be neglected or wouldn’t want the game to expand its player base (to an extent). I’ll bounce back and forth between both sides (solo and group). I enjoy pvp more when I’m on my own so I don’t have to rely on anyone. And I’ll do raids and nightfalls with my clan mates because I love hanging out with them. The point is, is that I’m in the middle of this topic. Bungie shouldn’t make content that is solo exclusive, but they should make content that is able to be completed solo. Much like the dungeons or shattered throne. If we want destiny to improve we need to be able to take in and RESPECT all views from both sides of the player base spectrum. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

No one hates solo players. We hate losing out on a new raid bc we got a new single player game mode. I don't know about you but I was thoroughly disappointed in season of the drifter bc of lack of content. If you focus on solo activities u will lose hardcore team players bc of the lack of new content. There is a finite amount of money allocated toward developing each season and it's based on profit and they are obviously struggling to meet even one sides idea of content while u ask for more content for players that are too boring or lazy or socially handicapped to find friends in a game DESIGNED to help you find other people to play with? Satisfying which of those two groups will result in a stronger destiny? If u think solos then you're wrong.

NO ONE ASKED FOR SOLO GAME MODES.

More solo content means either less team content or watered down non optimized team content. I don't get how u can't understand that. More diverse or solo friendly content requires more resources toward that which in a company with limited resources means less goes to the PRIMARY design of a mmo game. By pandering to solos u risk alienating the larger group of team players. In short it's a bad investment and use of resources as well as being directly against the design and purpose of the game and will piss off the very fans most likely to purchase future content.

Here's the point of the conversation. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Here's where you're at. It's spectacular how you all can't grasp that anyone not playing in a premade fireteam is a solo player. No one is asking for content to be changed, they're asking for more/better accessibility to it and more balanced systems in PvP. None of this affects difficulty or experience for those in premade fireteams. I don't expect this to help you.

Well I have zero issues in any content when I choose to play solo other than raids bc it's not solo friendly. Apparently ur head is so far up ur own... self righteousness that u can't comprehend basic business strategy. Why spend resources fixing what isn't broken for 98% of us while sacrificing content which is the biggest problem with destiny? There is a budget of X dollars and a team of X people to do content and work on the sandbox. I know in the happy rainbow colored unicorn land u think in that it can be both but we've seen over and over that's not reality. If I hafta choose between solo players feeling included or solid endgame content that satisfies team plsyers, well then f*#@ solo players.

You're kinda a dim bulb aren't you.

Lol wow ouch u got me good there. U keep on trying to get bungie to figuratively shoot themselves in the nuts to stop them from itching. I only wish I was confident enough in their competence to only be 99% sure they won't consider the drivel spewing from your mouth and waste even a minute discussing it.

No one said bungie is focusing on solo content, the next season will be chocked full of multiplayer content of which I can’t wait to grind out with my clan mates. But what’s wrong with giving solo players the opportunity to do something by themselves, or at least, queue in with other solo players? The answer to that hat question is one word, menagerie. The normal mode is matchmaking while the hard mode is fire team required plus you get a raid. Boom! There both parties are satisfied. Although you say no one hates solos yet the tone of your post comes off as such.

Ok let me rephrase then. I don't want solo ENDGAME content or any solo only content that reduces the amount of endgame content. I don't hate solos but again a person shouldn't be proud of not being able or willing to find teammates in a game that makes it easy to find teammates as well as encouraging others to play with you for mutual benefit. Like no one wants to play with me so make them bungie and change the game so I don't hafta slightly change myself or exit my comfort zone even a little. Should I respect or even take someone like that seriously?
-
I didn’t specify that you had to respect the insecure players. I said you should respect the fact that some people just don’t want to play games with others just because. Though I do understand what you mean when you rephrased
-
And it's fine to not want to play with a group however it's not fine to demand changing the game to suit your playstyle at the expense of others and then calling people toxic when they disagree. You can do everything solo except nightfalls and raids and that's for a good reason. Adapt or continue playing the other 98% of the game. It's not like you can only hit max level by raiding anymore, they have designed ways for solos to max level so I have little empathy for those who can't be bothered to try if they truly want to raid.

The argument is the same shit they've been spewing since SRL," it'll take resources from other areas that could be developed" and the slightly newer "they'll have to dumb down the raid and then the gear won't be as special" none of these buggers are willing to acknowledge that there could be a change or two made to these activities to make them more accessible and still be rewarding for them. Guided raids and nightfalls were supposed to be the matchmaking that we wanted, but look at how that turned out.
