I got most of them from breaking down all the crap gear I pick up. Cleared out the vault. Cashed in resources at vendors and breaking down the crap they give me. I rarely bother with scrapper bounties.

I sure do. With all the exotic nerfs, legendary is the way to go. Gotta find the right perks, then masterwork them. @421 cores +26 finest matterweave now. Ready for the next power up. I'm guessing that the complainers here are mostly PVP. There are very few cores giving out in PVP. Bungie needs to offer a way to earn them in crucible.
