It's awesome that the studio dropped the new Outbreak quest and from everything I've heard, it's one of the best things you've all done. I wish that a silly decision like the hard stance on infusion hadn't pushed so many of us away already. I will probably still try the mission this weekend, but no matter how great it might be, I have no desire to continue leveling in the punishing and toxic environment "meaningful" Infusion has created. Having to grind to use something I already earned isn't meaningful, it's just awful when we can't. Content and experiences are meaningful. Playing with friends is meaningful, but that's tough when either none of them play anymore or the game is so rigid in forcing play that we are punished for playing what we like or helping out friends. Happy for some positivity from the studio and game, but still mystified at the response to all the feedback you've gotten here when population numbers are far below year one at this juncture.

  • honestly the outbreak prime should have been free to all players cause its a d1 item and the exotic kinetic fusion rifle should of been annual pass only. why? cause that is a new exotic weapon thus truly new content

  • I came back to try the quest but I needed to level from 650. After a couple of hours I remembered why I put the game down, the levelling system in this game is the worst I’ve come across. Result? Turned the game off and haven’t bothered to turn it back on. Good job bungie.

The Whisper of the Worm mission was also the pinnacle of awesome, as I recall -- people couldn't praise Bungie enough for it. Destiny fans are easy - give us a gun from D1 and we'll fall all over ourselves to congratulate Bungie on their innovation and cleverness. I loved Outbreak Prime, but I haven't touched the game in 3 months. It's just not enough.

  • I mean the quest really wasn’t special, at all. It was rather plain actually. I guess the fan base has been so deprived of what a good games content is that this is the new status quo.

  • That’s nice of you to say, but I can’t reconcile the lack of movement and silence in the face of this outbreak media blitz. It’s a bad look, and now I’m regretting having given them props for finally upping the cosmetic drop rates.

  •
...now I’m regretting having given them props for finally upping the cosmetic drop rates.
They didn't deserve any props. The correct solution would have been to remove all RNG elements (collection badges) from titles altogether. But yet again, Bungie Knows Better 🙄
