Do you hear any community complaints about the Division 2? Cause I’m hearing nothing but praise.

Not published...and not **relevant**. You are losing on the merits...and you are now trying to lay down a smoke screen to cover your escape. Not taking the red herring, champ. Frustration with Bungie is at an all-time high in the Destiny community. Whereas The Division 2s community is quietly content.....currently discussing the varies test patches that are on the PTS server and Massive is letting PC players preview....while we await the raid and the first major post-release content drop.

  •
Frustration with Bungie is at an all-time high in the Destiny community.
You don’t speak for the Destiny community. Not even a tiny portion of it. Frustration within you may be representative of your specific situation, but you do NOT speak for the community. Nor do I. Populations DO matter, if they didn’t ppl around here, including You, wouldn’t use them as a weapon against Bungie. Same logic applies to Bungie, via ATVI, pushing its metrics as “record breaking” etc... The fact that Bungie publishes daily population amazes me. Very few other developers are that transparent. Apparently, Massive isn’t one of those who are. Even you have told me recently:
Those with nothing to hide, hide nothing
I would much rather have 250 ppl loudly complaining out of 250,000 daily than 250 total, daily, who are happy and don’t complain. Because an objective mind is well aware that there will be those who complain loudly soley because they can. And there are those who blindly follow anybody regardless of what they do. I’m excited for Any & All commercially successful video games, it helps the industry as a whole, including the Division 2. If that game is your cup of tea, by all means, go knock it out, have fun, enjoy it every chance you get! Me personally, I’m super excited for Borderlands 3. But it won’t replace Destiny 2, it can’t. I played the Division, quite a bit. I’m happy the Division 2 and Massive are your go to places for entertainment. I just don’t see the need to demand Bungie emulate and copy anybody else. I would much rather see Bungie forge her own path than trail along behind others. Even with failure as a possibility.

    1. Never said that I did. I'm reporting what is OBVIOUS to anyone who has been playing this game from the beginning (which I have)..and keeps abreast of what the community says for itself (which I do). So many of you who support this broken system are desperate to convince yourselves that its just an angry minority that is complaining. You're half-right. The people who still CARE about this game enough to come here regularly and complain about this sytem ARE a minority. But the people whose patience has been exhausted by Bungie's unwillingness to back down from this broken progression system are NOT a minority. They are the silent MAJORITY who are leaving the game, and voting with their feet. During the WORST content droughts of spring in Destiny 1, This game would generate an engagement of about 600-650K PVE players daily....and about 400K **CRUCIBLE** players. Despite being only on TWO playforms . Playstation and Xbox. But now....despite being on an additional platform (PC). Despite continuous additions of content . Despite Activision GIVING AWAY the game for a month on two platforms (PSN and PC)....this is what this game did yesterday: https://destinytracker.com/ BARELY 400K people showed up to play PVE....and at the end of a seasonal EVENT that was supposed to boost engagement.....and we are now staring down the barrel of probably another MONTH of little to do in the game....so expect those numbers to drop EVEN farther. These are numbers that this game saw during the WORST days of community discontent over Destiny 2....when everyone agreed the franchise was in crisis. Everywhere this game is talked about all you hear is from veteran players who are exhausted by the progression system. Exhausted by the unrewarding grind for cores and to MAINTAIN powers already acquired....and people waking up to the fact that this game basically has no loot to chase...and no real end-game. So much so that any one who can't see that is either blind or in serious denial.
I would much rather have 250 ppl loudly complaining out of 250,000 daily than 250 total, daily, who are happy and don’t complain. Because an objective mind is well aware that there will be those who complain loudly soley because they can. And there are those who blindly follow anybody regardless of what they do.
There is nothing ""objective" about what you are doing. YOU ARE WHISTLING PAST A GRAVEYARD....and expecting that the rest of us aren't informed enough. Aren't paying attention enough to realize that this is what you are doing. EVERY bit of truly objective data points to this game....this franchise....and possibly Bungie itself being in trouble. I am happy for all good games. But I am NOT happy to watch a game with great potential run into the ground by a company because of its arrogance...its obsessive need for control...and its inability/unwillingness to respect its customer's wishes and learn from its mistakes. NO company in the last 20 years has done somethign this reckless and this stupid with a video game's design. Especially one that is its only product and only source of revenue. There will be a painful settling of acounts by this player base with Bungie if they do not change course....and change coures DRAMATICALLY. Shit....Paul Tassie is freaking calling for Bungie NOT to release any content in September because he has ZERO confidence in Destiny 2s ability to compete for players with Borderlands 3. ....and there is VERY little to suggest right now----given what Bungie is doing----that he's off base. Because right now The Division 2 is a BETTER game than Destiny 2....and Borderlands 3 (even if they just live up to the standard they set with Borderlands 2) is looking like they will be as well. Yet Bungie continues to arrogantly act as if they have the market to themselves....and their players have nowhere else to, and no choice to but tolerate whatever they choose to do. That is NOT the case in 2019. Not even close.
