Reasonable compromise....but cores would still need to be more plentiful.
But it would get Bungie the engagment they want.....and the player base the predictability and responsiveness to player investment that we want.
You'd have a progression system again, instead of a progression slot machine.

They've definitely gotten a lot better, but with keeping every available option we have to obtain them currently, as well as the new gunsmith bounties they've talked about, and the ability to use guns to upgrade them and possibly scrap for more cores, it should add enough availability to them in works with a new system such as the one I've recommended
