Yes it does. I intentionally dropped to 0 cores before drifter to see how "hard" it was to get them. By the time I hit 700 I had over 300. Now everything is 700 light and i'm starting to accumulate a stockpile even though I waste them constantly fully masterworking weapons.. my intake out weighs my output greatly. I mean.. you get 21 guranteed cores a week from Hawthorne alone for just playing normally. You actually earn them faster then motes of light... that's what is sad. It costs 0-3 cores to infuse an item. The 21 from Hawthorne a week alone means you can fully infuse every item equipped once every week with cores to spare if you were to so choose. Kind of a waste but you could do it.

  • That's if you have an active Clan. Otherwise, Hawthorne is useless. But, once again, this is not about how many we have, but why we have to spend them on levelling up at all. I would rather spend my Cores on Masterworking and rerolling my gear, thanks.

You don't necessarily need an active clan. Mines pretty dead besides a handful of us. I mean... the only requirement is have a pulse and log in once every 3 months.... that's not really breaking any records for activity. Infusion has been a mechanic since D1. You even said it wasn't bad in D1 and you got far less motes in D1 as opposed to cores in D2. What would you rather just be max light as soon as new content drops? Or have gear you grinded out for rolls you wanted to have to leave them behind to re grind for the same gear once you hit max light? No thanks i'll take infusion anyday. 0-3 cores is extremely cheap.

  • You. Idiot. I never said to remove Infusion. I never said to remove Cores. We. Only. Want. Cores. Out. Of. Infusion. Besides, Bungie have been boosting the Max Power anyway. Sooo, really, there should be no problem playing the game how I want.

Jeeze name calling already 🤣 There is no problem with playing the game how you want. There is currently only 1 activity that requires you to be 680 even though you could do it at 650. I mean i'm down for removing cores from infusion but if they do that they should wipe everyone planetary mats to 0 and remove the sale of them forcing you to physically go to each destination to go and farm materials you need... on top of that glimmer currently has no purpose do wipe glimmer to 0 and make it so the only way you can get glimmer is by selling gear to the gunsmith.. say 100 glimmer per legendary with how much crap the game throws at you. On second thought... 0-3 cores per infusion sounds better seeing the game throws cores at you. I'll take the infusion system we currently have.

  • Is that satire, that I just don’t detect? Some men just want to watch the world churn.
