How much did the studio spend on creating the Revelry for it to bump PvE numbers up to 616k players yesterday? Just curious because I remember back before everyone got completely fed up with the forced grind of meaningful infusion and daily upkeep costs to use our gear, the game used to average over a million in PvE to start new seasons. When cool new content doesn't bring players back... That's a sign.

  • Pretty sure the revelry took no effort or considerable amount of money to make.

  • That is what this company has been doing for ages , they have our money so doing as little as they can get away with just to keep the game ticking over until they try and sell next DLC . They want to put as little resources into this game as possible, anything to keep costs down .

  • Forsaken was steady around 1.3 million for 3 weeks. Drifter peaked around 750,000.

  • Well even when the season did start there were well under a million players in PVE, so he is 100% correct.

  • Hardly would count the revelry as cool new content. Forest is boring, no point going past 20. Crucible and gambit are broken by it, got my arbalest and got tfo

  • And that’s the problem. Bungie is spending too much energy on stuff to do, and not enough on stuff to chase. Which is why they are having to resort to throttling gimmicks like cores.

  • Exactly. Hell if they'd taken that time and effort to oh lets say: add random rolls to y1 weapons and armor, add the new seasons perks to the entire loot pool, and given us a full super balance pass, maybe id be a whole lot happier right now instead of burned out and uninterested.

  • Yes, but every time they make tough challenges to chase, everyone complains it’s too hard and whines about it. Its a no win situation. Personally I like the mindless grind of the Verdant Forest/Haunted Forest. I wish it was here all the time and then decorated different ways for seasonal events.

  • That’s fine, but don’t have it break every other game mode, and be able to revert changes when you do break the game isn’t too much to ask for a premium game we paid a premium price for.

Sure. I see what you are saying. Personally, I think its cool to shake up the sandbox for a couple of weeks, but I can see how that's frustrating for some people. Frankly I am replying to the comment by Cadi 009 saying "Forest is boring, no point going past 20." Personally I think there is some utility to an area that is just minless grind.
