Remove them! However might I add that Bungie is very stern in their stance along with the community. Compromise is necessary. Keep the cores- byt have them drop from gameplay itself- not only from dismantling, bounties, and hitting max valor along with infamy. 1) Have them drop from Heroic Public Events. Drop 2 each event. It will encourage more to do the events at a heroic level. Drop 5 Shards per heroic event as well 2) After maybe 5 patrols drop 1. 3) After 3 strikes drop 3 cores. 4) If you get a 15 kill streak in crucible drop 1 core. 5) After 3 heroic adventures, drop 3 cores. 6) After 3 gambit or gambit prime matches, drop 2 cores. 7) After a successful t3 reckoning drop 3 cores. This one will encourage more to be in the matchmaking pool- killing another bird with one stone in the process. (matchmaking being terrible due to low counts of people) This will at least alliviate some of the stress of having a lack of cores and encourage a grind. All the while- people are playing the game. It hits every facet except raids and comp.
I myself have no issue obtaining them, I urge others to read the convo me and Jcald are having as it has more points I forgot to mention here.@jcald thanks for a civil talk with me, have to shout you out. • That's way to many, if you play regularly you should already have plenty.

  •
That's way to many, if you play regularly you should already have plenty.
I do play regularly and have quite a bit. But remember cores are rng based too. I just so happen to get eff tons of em, while others do the same exact thing and get a small fraction of what I get. From here, to YouTube, to reddit, cores are literally making people quit. I don’t want them quitting. It means longer, way longer matchmaking times, it means empty reckoning lobbies and what not. It means crucible no matter what they do to sandbox will be broken cause the only people on will be the not forgotten type of sweats who have a skill level we just can not obtain. If it is too many so be it, the core exploit already broke that with people having thousands- along with people farming shares and simulation seeds from spider. It ain’t fun. Adding cores as an incentive to every activity will increase the population. Idk I have no problem with em here. I get them quite easily, but for others doing the same thing as me, they can barely get em for some reason.

They just need removed. Of you hand out that many the masterwork system would be meaningless.

  •
They just need removed. Of yiu hand out that many the masterwork system would be meaningless.
Masterwork being meaningless is something... Maybe double the cost for masterwork then, for cores and all mats for mastworking. Point is, they need to do something cause this is the dumbest island to die on (as I saw a poster write). There are other game breaking issues that can be solved with a population increase.
