Because raid weapons and exotics are the actual true endgame, grinding for them and getting god rolls is meaningful and impactful.
Grinding for a rare currency to enable an expensive basic progression mechanic is neither of those.

It's too much work to find decent raid groups. I dont have time for it so it should be given to me. I want 1000 voices and threat level, I dont have time to do the raids so it should be given to me for free.
